REFRACTIONS
Refractions. Third of five suites, in three scenes, of the cycle Trances, for two acoustic grand pianos, in preparation, 2027 (105 minutes).

Refractions explores the theme of the mirror and the echo that contribute to define one’s own identity among human relationships. The self-image, perpetually under reconstruction, can be represented as a sonar that serves to reflect sound waves and determine positions. Thus, the development of the self and the elaboration of identity in relation to others are constantly composed and recomposed according to interactions with the real and imaginary human environment.
