CONTEMPLATIONS
Contemplations. Fifth of five suites, in three scenes, of the cycle Trances, for two acoustic grand pianos, in preparation, 2029 (105 minutes).
Scene 1 – Dazzlement. Scene 2 – Wonder. Scene 3 – Enchantment.
Contemplation is a disposition in which a person places himself in an attitude of humility and admiration in front of an object, a person, an act or a writing that inspires her. Her gaze is turned towards the outside of herself, towards this other who is a person or the result of what this person has achieved. Thus the subject feeds on the object in a modest and attentive posture. This suite caps the five suites of the Transes cycle by leaving room for listening and absorbing the qualities of this object of contemplation that can transform the subject and elevate him in his quest for transcendence and accomplishment.
